Besides maritime-related industry publication like Lloyds List, Tradewinds recognized Marinakis for his corporate leadership for eight years straight. \r\n\r\nCapital Maritime and its subsidiary companies are responsible for the managing of a total of 74 fleets of ships. They are also responsible for an overall tonnage of nearly 9 million tonnes (DWT) for their shipping business. Capital Maritime has consistently made an effort to invest in container, tankers and dry bulk over many years. \r\n\r\nBorn in 1967, EvangelosMarinakis notes that the city of Piraeus, a Greek port to be Evangelos\'s birthplace.
