apache2 - enabling and disabling sites

enable and disable sites and modules in apache 2

  1. # enable site
  2. sudo a2ensite
  4. # disable site
  5. sudo a2dissite
  7. # enable an apache2 module
  8. sudo a2enmod
  10. # e.g. a2enmod php4 will create the correct symlinks in mods-enabled to allow the module to be used. In this example it will link both php4.conf and php4.load for the user
  12. # disable an apache2 module
  13. sudo a2dismod
  15. # force reload the server:
  16. sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 force-reload
