Hey, sorry for the late reply, I didn't notice the comment. Yes, it is the assortativity coefficient according to Newman. It will be included in igraph 0.6 (and it will be much faster as it will be implemented in C).

Hi. It this work with any other scalar value different from the degree? I use a scalar value list instead of degrees parameters but I'm getting different results from the current assortativity function in igraph. Thx.
