Snipplr TextMate Bundle

The Snipplr TextMate bundle lets you insert snippets directly into your code without ever having to open your web browser. The same goes for posting snippets, too! Just highlight your text, type in your tags, and TextMate will save your selection into Snipplr. (More information on TextMate bundles)

How does it work?

  1. Download and unzip the bundle file.
  2. Double-click the bundle to install into TextMate
  3. Open TextMate's preferences and choose Advanced → Shell Variables
  4. Create a new variable called "SNIPPLR_KEY" and set it's value to your API Key. (You need to create a Snipplr account and login to get your key.)

Once it's installed, you can insert your snippets by pressing ⌃⌥⌘P and post a new snippet by pressing ⇧⌥⌘P (These are just the default settings. You can set them to whatever you want with TextMate.)

Note: The plugin searches your snippets and your favorite snippets. It doesn't search the entire site. So, if you want someone else's snippet to appear in the plugin, you need to mark it as a favorite by clicking its star icon [ ].
