Add to vhost block. Dynamically maps all subdomains of sub.example.com to their respective document root. Note: Doesn't work great when the sub sub needs to add additional mod_rewrite rules of its own, i.e., a Drupal installation.

If you have an open_basedir restriction that is causing issues with a domain, you can remove the restriction easily. First, put the following text in /home/httpd/vhosts/[domain]/conf/vhost.conf:

The following user-submitted code may be useful in redirecting URLs for the /files directory to the /sites/example.com/files directory. This is a replacement for the default PHP settings in Drupal's .htaccess file. Increasing the memory_limit, max_post_size etc. prevents a lot of errors, especially when using image modules.

Use this when you want to serve a domain from the document root of another domain on the same box. Along with this config, you will want to replace the httpdocs directory with a symlink to the other domains doc root. (Don't forget to change ownership of the symlink to match the owner of the destination doc root.)
