(XML) EE RSS Template Improved

Template includes optional changes from the default EE RSS template that I added as a result of various articles, the RSS 2.0 spec and by examining the feeds of major professional news sites. For more information see my blog post (url above). Tested and validated at http://feedvalidator.org. (The default EE RSS feed does not.)

(XML) EE Default RSS Template (Fixed)

This template removes seconds from date fields used in the which cause multi-posting (on each edit) of entries. These are the minimal fixes to the current default EE RSS Template, I've also uploaded an [improved template](http://snipplr.com/view/25354/ee-rss-template-improved/ ) as well. For more information see my blog post (url above)

(HTML) XHTML 1 Strict Complete Starter Template

There are a lot of 'starters' out there but I wanted one with all the things I use to start a new project. I find it easier to remove lines I don't need than to hunt and peck for each item...this also makes the starter serve as a sort of 'checklist' to make sure all the essentials are there for a stand-alone page, great for quickly creating a robust 'coming soon' page for a new website.

* Basic XHTML

* Common includes: CSS, JQuery, RSS, Favicon

* Google analytic tracking code

I refrained from including paths so that mistakes aren't easily overlooked. Use search & replace to quickly change SITENAME and don't forget you need your own GA tracker code.

(JavaScript) Gracefully degrading email obfuscation

This is a simple (comparatively) way to protect email addresses from spam bots, starting with JavaScript mail link, but unlike most scripts there is still an email address available to the user (optional) using a CSS hack to protect it - so it is selectable but not an actual mailto:link.
