(C#) C# motion detection source code: How to achieve tripwire with a USB webcam - chewie-wookiee

<p>Tripwire is a special part of motion detection that can be used to monitor and alert on specific changes. More specifically: tripwire means the detection of intrusion.

This code snippet presents how to create a C# software by using prewritten computer vision components (www.camera-sdk.com) allowing you to get notified when your USB webcam triggers an intrusion. For instance, by using this application, you can use your camera to alarm when a people enters into the shop/office, or even to count how many people entered, etc.

After the necessary using lines and objects you need to implement the Main method and the necessary functions for connecting to a USB webcamera. The startBt_Click method is used to start the tripwire functionality. Thereafter you can see how to handle the enter and exit events.

Nothing could be more simple! :)</p>

(Visual Basic) StripCharacters - BDOGG32

<p>Uses regular expressions to do string manipulation. Enter a regular expression into the required parameter and what you want the manipulation to do and it will process the string manipulation. For example if A1 contains John Doe1, Jane Doe2, John Wayne3 and you wanted to strip all the numbers out of it you could enter this formula: =RegexReplace(I22,"[^a-zA-Z, ]", ""). This strips all characters that are not a through z or a comma or space. Since all numbers are not in there then it removes them. If you wanted to strip out all alpha characters and leave only the numbers it would look like: =RegexReplace(I22,"[^1-9, ]", "")</p>

(VB.NET) VB.NET SQL Example: How to send SMS in VB.NET using SQL database - LoganTurn

<p>I thought I share this code snippet because I find this way of SMS sending an easy solution. I believe that even beginners can implement this VB.NET SQL SMS application, but I think some extent of perfection in the SMS technology is required for better understanding. Okay, let’s jump right in the middle of the project that allows you to send and receive SMS through database tables by using your own VB.NET application.

Project information:

•	Language: VB.NET
•	Level: Intermediate
•	IDE: Microsoft Visual Studio
•	Database server: MS SQL, MS SQL Express, MySQL, Access, Oracle, etc. I used MySQL (http://www.mysql.com/).
•	Special prerequisites: .NET Framework (http://www.microsoft.com/hu-hu/download/details.aspx?id=17851), SMS Gateway (in order to let your PC to send/receive SMS transmissions to/from a telecommunications network). I used Ozeki NG (www.ozekisms.com).

Project description:

First of all, you need to create the necessary database tables: one for the outgoing messages, and another one for the incoming messages. The snippet shows my MySQL commands, but it can be changed of course depending on the database server you use. In order to be able to use your database you need to connect it to your SMS gateway, then you can insert an SMS into the table of the outgoing messages by using an SQL INSERT command. To execute this command, you need to connect to the database by using the myConnection.Open() method. Thereafter insert the message into the database ( mySqlCommand.ExecuteNonQuery() ), then close the database connection ( myConnection.Close() ). That's all there is to it! It wasn't that black magic, was it?</p>

(C#) How to make SIP video calls in C# - sacha-manji

<p>While searching on the Internet on how to make SIP video calls using C#, I recognised that there aren’t any brief and straightforward tutorial in this topic. I found multi-page articles (sorry, but some of them are full of bullsh*t) and neverending forum threads, but none of them provided me complete solution. Therefore, I undertook to create a short and concise guide on how to make video calls in C# using the VoIP technology.

Look at the prerequisites:

-	PBX: To be able to make and receive video calls you, a phone system (e.g. Asterisk) is essentially needed. You need to add a new SIP account in your PBX for this application.

-	Visual Studio: This solution is based on a console softphone, so a new Visual C# Console Application is just enough.

-	VoIPSDK.dll: I used prewritten VoIP components to implement the SIP video calling feature. The necessary .dll file can be found on this website: http://www.voip-sip-sdk.com/. It should be added to your references.

-	Test phone: To test your application you can use any VoIP phone stat supports video calling (e.g. Bria softphone).

Now take a look at the code. As you can see below, just a few lines of C# code are enough to connect the application to a PBX and to initiate a video call. Firstly, you need to perform the SIP registration tasks. You need to create a softphone and a phone line object, then you need to specify the SIP account to be used for the phone line. These configurations are needed to be able to register to your PBX. After calling the RegisterPhoneLine method the regsitration procedure starts, and the application will indicates its status due to the mySoftphone_PhoneLineStateChanged method. The PhoneCallVideoSender and PhoneCallVideoReceiver objects are responsible for video handling. To handle the USB webcamera, the WebCamera object can be used. The CallType class is used to identify whether the call is a video or an audio call.

To make a test call, provide valid SIP account details for this console application to be able to register to your PBX, then specify a telephone number to be dialled (it can be an other SIP account that has been previously registered to the PBX). After running the application, it dials the provided phone number automatically meanwhile sending the image of the webcamera.</p>

(C++) C++ SMS source code on how to send SMS text messages using HTTP - Gupta86

<p>Hey Guys,

This is a short and straightforward article (or let’s say „tip” or „mini-review”) that presents how to send SMS messages from your own C++ (Cpp / C plus plus) application through HTTP. You will see, it is gonna be really easy. I will focus on the necessary code, but I would like to draw your attention to all the hardware and software requirements that are essentially needed for SMS messaging.

Briefly about SMS technology for better understanding

If you are proficient in SMS technology, just skip this paragraph and move on to the next one. So well, if you want to send SMS messages from your C++ application, first you need to connect your software and an SMS gateway to each other. Why? Because your application let you compose the SMS messages (including the text, the recipient’s phone number, etc.), but if you want to send out the SMS, you need to connect to the SMSC (Short Message Service Center that stores, forwards, converts and delivers SMS messages). An SMS gateway is able to connect to the SMSC of the Mobile Service Provider via SMPP IP SMS connection or a GSM modem, so actually the SMS gateway can send out your message. To establish connection between the SMS gateway and the C++ application, I used HTTP requests and responses. For sending SMS messages through HTTP, your SMS gateway should have a built-in webserver (e.g. Ozeki NG – www.ozekisms.com). The built-in webserver allows you to send SMS messages from your C++ application by calling an URL (HTTP Get) or using the HTTP Post method.

So that, all you need to have for sending SMS from your C++ application using HTTP is Microsoft Visual Studio for C++ development, an SMS gateway and my code snippet!

Okay and finally a few lines about testing. To test your software by sending out SMS message(s) actually, you need to install a GSM modem connection or an IP SMS connection. Buti f you have not contracted with any mobile service provider (e.g. AT&T or T-Mobile), you can test the SMS sending by simulating it (e.g. Ozeki NG provides „HTTP Server Connection” that can be used for this purpose). For more details related to the configuration of the SMS gateway, please contact the vendor of your SMS gateway.

Happy coding! :)</p>

(XHTML) Removing info / address bubble from google maps embed code - i-am-andy

<p>Remove the info / address pop up on a google map embed code.

Until last month: the iwloc parameter was responsible to GET the
window opened or not the following way:
It the parameter was missing by deafult the infow window was NOT
opened.
And vice versa: to get it opened the parameter should there OR while
the gotten code wouldn't be contain the iwloc ONE was forced to ADD
it manually!

I did not notice WHEN they changed this!!!
However NOW it seems to be reverse:
In your case (in your provided embedding code [maybe created using my
previous hints in this thread]) the iwloc parameter WAS NOT THEREIN.
I confirm: NOW this means obviously the info window will OPENED by
DEFAULT.

To get the embedding code for an iframe with an UN-opened Placemark
it's again necessary to ADD an OTHER value for the IWLOC paramter:
iwloc=near DOES the trick NOW!</p>
